The
Jack Starr Blues band from Florida/USA was founded in 2006. Caused by the
different
musical taste of the four members from Palm Bay and Melbourne. In this genre
an extremely varied, extra-ordinary blues arose under the direction of the
guitar genius Jack Starr, full of dynamics, temperament, feeling and atmosphere,
accents and dialogs, build-ups of tension and primarily lovely, moving and
catchy melodies. Besides the very virtuous, partly rocky – partly sensitive
guitar-playing also heavy grooves. Influences from jazz and classic and traditional
elements are added to the blues sound. The band itself describes its style
as "Hard Blues" and draws comparisons to musicians like Walter Trout, Joe
Bonamassa, Popa Chubby and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
harmony and the melody is due to Jack Starr's 40-year experience
in guitar-playing, and to the excellent choice of the musicians for bass,
drums and keyboard. The fact that Jack Starr has his origin in the area
of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal already has been proved as an advantage
in the Blues with regard to the world-famous giants like Eric Clapton
and Jimi Hendrix. With surprising melodies - stimulating and stirring up
- infectious and profound - and highly imaginative with strength, feeling
and a lot of love to the details. The music of the JACK STARR BLUES BAND
surpasses by far the usual norm in this genre.
